I am a feminist, but I can't help loving John Waters. He is so wise and brilliant (self-educated, so a totally original thinker.) So, he can write words of more than one syllable and construct sentences with the occasional subordinate clause. Only in shallow, Celtic Tiger Ireland would that be proof of eejitry. He has an imperturbable, almost aristocratic dignity which saves him from ever being totally ridiculous. I come from a neighbouring town in the West, and you know, compared to some guys we've got down there he is a model of sanity Listen to the man. He's a prophet. (Or, perhaps a Fool only in the Shakespearean sense.)

You should put this conversation to the editor of thisdayinmusic. Not sure if any of you know about this site but it is full of cool music trivia, the editor would love to have more music facts. they are running a poll at the moment...

If you could bring a dead rock star back to life for one gig, who would it be? John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Elvis, Kurt Cobain? Or someone else?

Who would you pick? You can see a full list and vote for who you would like to see on. pretty cool. there newsletter is really interesting and you can win prizes too.

I'm going to send this post to the editor. If he's a true music lover I'm sure he'll want to know about this.
