The Most Secretly Truthful Answer Ever!

September 17, 2007

It seems there was no need for the Tribunal at all. A year ago, when Bertie Ahern was first asked about the allegations of receiving between €50,000 and €100,000, he told journalists that a lot of the report was correct but:

The figures are off the wall.

Which, of course, was true. Because he got the money ‘off Michael Wall’.

The Da Bertie Code in action. He almost deserves to get away with it.

Any leader who makes a pun up front to the media whilst simultaneously confessing, is a genius and deserves to run the country.

It could be worse after all. We might have someone who couldn’t pun things up at all!
