June 5, 2007
If you’re looking for a party in Ireland, you should start in Maynooth in Kildare or Galway City, where one house in every six is a non-family household containing no related persons. That’s based on the latest census figures. Here are the ten best places to party. >>>
The Top Ten
- Maynooth in Kildare (one house in every six)
- Galway City (one house in every six)
- Annacotty in Limerick (one house in every eight)
- Carrick-on-Shannon in Leitrim (one house in every ten)
- Sligo Town in Sligo (one house in every ten)
- Limerick City (one house in every eleven)
- Ballyhaunis in Mayo (one house in every twelve)
- Westport in Mayo (one house in every twelve)
- Athlone Town in Westmeath (one house in every twelve)
- Cork City (one house in every thirteen)
Disclaimers
- Statistics based only on non-family households with unrelated people.
- Only measures quantity of such households; quality may vary.
- Residents may not actually host parties, or may host boring parties.
- Residents may not welcome internet strangers crashing their party.
- So, all in all, not really very useful at all.
